Hello all!! I just wanted to give you all a quick update since it’s totally doll related. I finally finished selling all my BJDs so that collection is done for now. It doesn’t mean I will never get another, because if there’s something I have learned in this hobby is that you never know what you will be into next.

So all BJDs and their clothes, shoes and accessories have already been sold, I probably have a few little things around (like face protectors or wig caps), but nothing big or important. All doll profiles were also deleted, since I don’t care much about that nowadays, I’m more interested in the photos themselves.

I still have all my pure neemos, momokos, my Licca and ruruko as well. I kinda want to get a winking face Licca in the future, but I’m not buying online at the moment and won’t be using the money I got from sales into the hobby at this time.

I’ve been doing a few crafts this week that might be used in dioramas later on when I feel like picking up the camera.

I’m very grateful to my BJDs for introducing me to the doll hobby. I remember being in university and wishing to own even one. Now looking back I have many good memories of all the dolls I’ve been lucky to play with. I owned dolls of every single size! It was a fun ride for sure!

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe.

Hugs!

I will look forward to the day you decide to pick up your camera again, whether it’s for doll photography or something else entirely. It’s a bit sad that you are leaving the BJD hobby but I know people can and will fall out of love with them but as you said, who knows, maybe you will get back into it at some later point in the future. Certain hobbies don’t end up being forever hobbies for everyone and that’s perfectly fine. I do still hope you can sometimes visit your blog and let us know what you’re up to, as I’ve said before, it really doesn’t have to be doll related.

You take care and keep safe too.

I’m not leaving all the doll hobby, just BJDs! So I’m positive I’ll pick up the camera at some point to take some snaps of my girls, no worries! I’ll be posting when that happens 🙂

Sometimes I wish I would have stayed with one BJD and had all my focus on that one. But today it is what it is. I sold some of my figurines and Barbies during the beginning of this year and it felt good. Used that money to buy another BJD. I love them all. The good thing in this hobby is, as you wrote, you never know where it takes you.
Look forward to seeing some photos in the future!

Oh that’s exciting! I wish I could buy some miniatures, but I’ll leave it for the future, I still have that itch to make nice diorama and miniature phtography.
I’ve gone from semi realistic sculpts to fantasy dolls to cute big eyed YoSDs to little dragons and sheeps, I wouldn’t have imagine when I firt got a BJD I would be into the ones that came after that one, not many people in the hobby stick to one style forever and that’s part of the beauty of it all.

    Hi Alejandra,
I am so pleased you are not leaving the doll hobby altogether, it means we will see photos and updates from you every now and then. I don’t play with my BJD’s as much as I used to, but I have no intention of selling mine yet, as I still enjoy looking at them all. 🙂

It’s funny (peculiar) how one doll leads us down the path of dolly adventure, I think we are bit like Alice down the rabbit hole in some ways, we never know exactly where it will lead us or what we will find.
Keep safe my friend, big hugs,
    X

Hello!! I think it would be very difficult for me to leave the hobby 100%. Even if one day I get fed up of photos I might keep a few dolls just to look at them.
I love seeing how everyone evolves in the hobby! It’s truly like Alice down the rabbit hole, that was well put!
      Hugs for you too~
